About Us
Here at Second Steps Studio, not only do we instruct dance and dance technique,
we also strive to instill character, self- confidence, poise, and lasting friendships.

OWNER
-INSTRUCTOR- POINTE, BALLET

Ms. Paula has been dancing since she was a young girl. Competing in ballet at the early age of six,  life has come full circle and she is now fulfilling the dream of owning her own studio.  She loves to work with children and actually says that "being a mom was her calling."  Paula has been involved with several dance companies throughout her youth and a member of the dance company during her adult years at The University of Mississippi.   She has been an instructor for the past 10 years at Second Steps Studio, and owner for the last 7 years concentrating in Ballet and Pointe .

BALLET, JAZZ, COMPETITION TEAM-
We are thrilled to have her as apart of our dance family!  Miss Emma Clowdus is from Rome, Georgia, and a graduate of Rome High School in 2019. She attended Berry College, but currently attends GNTC.   Although her major is undecided at the moment, she would really like to own a dance studio in her future career. Emma has danced for over ten years, and she danced competitively with DanceWorks in Rome, GA. Her experience includes ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and pointe through all years of dance. She is a great asset to our studio.

Amy
Hooper

- INSTRUCTOR- TAP
Ms. Amy has taken, trained in, or taught dance for most of her life.  Dance is her passion; and after a brief hiatus, she is excited to return to teaching her most favorite genre—TAP!  She hopes to continue not only progressing the Junior & Senior girls’ steps but also promoting their love for the various styles.  Ms. Amy has 3 girls of her own, who have all grown up inside a dance studio; and she is married to a very supportive Dance Dad.
