COMPETITION TEAM
Second Steps is currently in our fifth season of competition. The team attends 3 to 4 competitions a year, plus a nationals event in the summer . Our focus is on growth, expanding their knowledge helping them to become well rounded dancers.
OUR WHY ?
We started our competition team in 2022 because we saw an opportunity for select dancer's to be given extra performance experiences, and in doing so gained valuable feedback and critiques from the industries best professionals.
Class Offerings
Our competition team offerings vary based on year and dancer. We have performed group routines in the petite, junior, teen, and senior categories. Dancers who show excellence in understanding technique, stage presence, storytelling, and good sportsmanship may be selected for specialty routines such as solos, duos, and trios.
We require all team members 6th grade and up to take a technique class that is based around strength, stretching, and learning new skills as well as maintaining and polishing old skills.
